An incredible university set on a huge piece of land. Many buildings with different design. It even has its own commercial outlets. Surrounding is tranquil and conducive for study. There's even a lake within the site.

As a current student attending the University, I am genuinely disappointed with how the university is managed; firstly the amount of curriculum changes that occurs in a span of six months, making students not able to study according to the plan that they entered the university with. Students who came to this university expecting to study a specific subject (even as an elective) is not able to study the subjects because "No one signed up for it". This really demotivates me and other students to even wanting to continue studying with this university. The subjects are also taught very poorly (as in with only YouTube videos and the lecturer just sits there repeating the YouTube video that was shown). In addition, if you are a Native English speaking student (even from abroad) be prepared to redo English, learning again how to write essays and reports and how to read (this also backs the fact that the university doesn't take your background into consideration), when asked they said it's required by law. The pricing; as a Thai National studying in the BUI program the price is moderate, but I must warn you that international students are required to pay for the ed-visa that costs 10.000 Thai baht and they are not allowed to do it themselves; (not even allowed to just get the confirmation letter and letting a personal agent manage the rest of the visa) this means that if you want to use a non-b visa you will have to sit a while with university staff into changing the visa to the appropriate visa. B) Discounts are unfairly managed; my partner who is currently also studies in the BUI programs was required to pay over 90k Thai baht for four courses out of the eight that is required, this really puts a strain on the student's wallet making it look like "oh you're a foreigner lets take some more money". Students with mental disabilities also beware, you will not be recognized amongst other students and be treated the same like other students, never in my 9 month venture into this university have I had any support as a mentally disabled student (including after speaking to the dean and providing necessary information to the dean); sure BUI provides students with the 'BU-Care' service that takes a very long time to get an appointment, and once the appointment is made, and the long one to two months wait has passed, you are greeted by a psychologist that tells you to and I quote "monks wisdoms on YouTube". In conclusion; If you are intending to join this university please note that you are quite literally on your own, and any support you want to receive will take a long time to process. I myself am just holding my grips in this university and going through nonsense just so that I can get a stamp that I graduated from a university since I actually just need to complete my CV; but if you want an to actually learn something please head to universities like CU or TU (next door) as BU isn't the right place. To the administration of the university; I do not have any intentions of slandering or causing a 'bad rep' to the university, but after extensively writing three of those 'feedback' for that teaches provide students in end of the semester, I don't think my feedback was ever read or if it was never was taken to any consideration; I am also willing to have a formal sit down if needed to explain more issues and maybe the university can build a stronger relationship towards students. ---- I would also like to add some of the recent 1-3 stars google review other people stated and I assume wasn't noticed since I have also covered these concerns on this review: 2 months ago by Nattanan 9626 (Translated) Called to ask for the Tuition fee; person responded with an attitude; feels bad in my opinion. Each department has its own architecturally unique building designed accordingly with its function and spacious open and public space. For the easy access inside the university, they also have a free shuttle bus facilities. In all, Bangkok University is a different world on its own.
